Authentic African Black Soap-Lavender Ylang Ylang (32oz)
In West Africa, authentic black soap is known by its Yoruba name, Ossé Dudu. “Dudu” means the color black, which comes from extensive “cooking” of the soap to the point of charcoal. Many cultures in West Africa use charcoal to detoxify & purify the skin. This is an integral aspect of our true African black soap.
Alaffia’s Authentic Black Soap is made from a centuries-old recipe of handcrafted shea butter and West African palm kernel oil. Saponification is provided by adding ashes to the hot oils, then cooking the soap for six hours. The last step is drying and curing the soap in the sun for three weeks, resulting in a gentle hand & body wash.
Ingredients: Azadirachta indica (Neem) Aqueous Extract, Saponified Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) Butter* and Elaeis guineensis (Palm Kernel) Oil*, Lauryl Glucoside, Lavandula hybrida (Lavender) Oil, Cananga odorata (Ylang Ylang) Oil. *Certified Fair for Life-Social & Fair Trade by IMO
I love the Tingly feeling
Posted by Ashlee V. Williams on Jul 25th 2016
I love this products tingly feeling. A lot of black soaps I've purchased in the past have burned my face for the first half of me using it and then as I keep on going with the product the burning sensation disperse. But this here did burn me he first time I used it, until I noticed why. I rent to scratch my face a lot and really try to pop those few set of pimples I have my face and get rid of them. So for sure the burning was due to me scratching the surface of my skin. So those who are going off that it's burning when using it, ask your self this- what are you doing to your skin?
